Tough crowd on Maher tonight, my head hurts.
With John Fund and Michelle Cabrera the ignorance and stupidity was astounding. Thom Hartmann's head looked like it wanted to explode the whole time listening to those 2. Michelle swears all of the worlds problems are because of Fannie and Freddie and John believes the old "too much regulation" shtick. I think I may have become dumber for watching that. Time to watch some Richard Wolff to counteract what I just witnessed.

2. Two corporatists from CNBC (The Original Fox Business "News")
against one progressive, that seems fair. :eyes:

3. Poor Thom. His pedantic style didn't go over so well in this venue.
Those two bookends were insufferable, as was Penn Gillette. :puke:

6. Yeah, he seemed like these 2 weren't even worth debating, they were too far gone.

4. I'm surprised Hartman's so subdued.
He usually kicks ass on his show.

5. He's more of a fact-giver, the BS they were spewing left him speechless.
I think he realized this was hopeless, he was dealing with neanderthals. I almost saw a look in his eyes saying "this isn't even worth it, these two are too far gone".

12. His performance sucked, IMO. He has all kinds of things to say to stupid callers on his radio show
Don't we all know by now, if you don't constantly debunk all their B.S., more people start to believe it? What was wrong with him tonight that he couldn't verbally spank both those idiots? He was a supreme disappointment.

8. Bill pissed me off tonight when he said ....
when he said that Obama 'lied' about closing Gitmo.

Obama did NOT lie about wanting to close Gitmo, Obama DID sign an Executive Order to close it, and Obama and his administration is still working on closing it.

It was CONGRESS that defunded the move of the detainees and it was CONGRESS that passed the law regarding not allowing the move of detainees onto US soil.

Sometimes Maher spews out stuff that he doesn't have all the facts about!

Still Bill, but he pisses me off at times ;)

16. Bill is wrong a lot. And no one calls him on it. I guess it's hard to be
correct on all counts 100% of the time, but he gets away with murder. I wonder if guests are forbidden to contradict Bill. I only watched this show to catch Thom Hartmann (who was probably mortified when he confused Hoover with Harding, or vice versa. Who cares.) John Fund is the most smug, sanctimonious asshole on the planet. Why in the world does Maher give that cretin airtime???

9. What'dya expect from an anus who writes crap like this:
Edited on Fri Oct-14-11 11:21 PM by HughBeaumont

Isn't THAT some modesty. Who talks like that? "I'm the smartest biatch in this room and all of you should kiss my well-endowed fascist-fluffing ass!!!! You KNOW I'm right . . . LEANING! HA HA HA HA AH AAAAAAAHH!!!" I mean, how did Wellesley, of all places, belch her Reaganite ass from it's walls?

And John Fund . . . see, since Rush Limbaugh isn't smart enough to write a book that should really be nothing more than shameless fuck-the-poor boilerplate, Fund helped him edit it from tape transcription.
