2. I was somewhat surprised that, according to Rasmussen's poll,
more American people were against the Occupy Wall street movement than for it.
If this is true, I guess, we members of DU have not been in close enough touch
with the pulse of the average American. Maybe we are too deeply into our own
little world. Another view point is that too many of us have been brain-washed
by the Repub. MSM, and too many of us are believing their propaganda and lies.

8. I suppose most of the poor people can't afford having a phone, so they
are automatically excluded from any poll.

10. How many of those people actually vote, do you believe?
The people get what they vote for and if they don't bother to vote than they get no representation.. Sad but true...

11. First of all, there is plenty of evidence that people dont get who they vote for. Bush two times.
Secondly, thousands of voters never get to vote. They certainly dont get who they were going to vote for. And thirdly, when the Machine runs Corp-Thing 1 against Corp-Thing 2, voters dont get a choice.

Sounds like you as well as the Corp-Media dont have a clue what OWS is all about. The system is rotten to the core and yet some keep saying, you gotta work within the system.

12. What I am saying is almost half the people don't bother voting..
They don't feel they can make any difference anyway so why bother..Hell when polled fifty percent of those participating in OWS say they did not vote in the last election.....When the american people decide it is in their best interest to actually vote, then some things might actually change. Until then though we are going to get more of the same. Rich getting richer and everyone else sucking hind tit..

14. You are correct. With all that voting and election fraud done almost
in the open -- including the help of the Supreme Court - some people
have given up the hope of ever having a half-way honest election again.
Today is the day of the criminals. This could be one of the causes of
the exceptionally rapid growth and expansion of the Occupy Wall Street
movement. Americans want real change!

6. Likely voters are less likely to support OWS than the general public.
Many eligible voters don't vote because they believe it won't make a difference. OWS message will resonate with those who have already given up on our political system.

Also, I believe Rasmussen has devolved into just one more propaganda tool. If they don't like the answer to the question, they'll rephrase the question or reframe the focus group to get the answer they want. Their objective is less to measure public opinion than to sway it.
