And the last line actually refutes the tea bagger's claim that the government was suppressing them. IF the teabaggers were really opposing a government as oppressive as they claimed then arrests should have been inevitable.

So either the government wasn't as oppressive as they believed or the tea baggers weren't really opposing the ones doing the oppression.

They were useful idiots, used to deflect the inevitable anger at being screwed over so it helped those that did the screwing and they never even realized it.

Worse they are authoritarians. They're "anger" at the government was a sham. The only thing they were angry about was that they weren't entirely in control.
