The Republicans are trying to run out the clock.

Oh if only they can keep obstructing everything by putting "Job-killing" in front of it. They have a little over 12 months..than they can swoop in and do something, anything that creates a quick million jobs. Even deficit spending (It's an emergency don't you know. And the "American People" are fed up and finally want action.)

But they didn't count on OWS to put in a substitution and screw with their game plan. They didn't expect President Obama to put up a jobs bill he knew would not pass, and call them out specifically on it.

The new meme is "The GOP kills the jobs bill".

They are the ones running out of political time.

2. It can't be said enough
and Americans, including Republicans, need to look at the ethics of their motives. They are not American patriots this is clear, they do not care about democracy.

3. What are THEY going to run on in 2012?
Edited on Wed Oct-12-11 10:38 AM by Proud Liberal Dem
"Give us the WH and Senate and let us keep the House and we'll.......ummm......maybe create jobs or something like that?"

Or will it be, let's keep divided (aka dysfunctional) government going since it works so well? :eyes:

They've got nothing substantive to run on, they've made it plain and clear that they hate President Obama, Democrats, women, minorities (esp. Hispanics), GLBTQ persons, the poor, and the uninsured (among others), they have no new plans to fix anything, and they don't even seem to be trying to fool everybody again with the last guy's phony "compassionate conservativism". Their only strategy seems to be softening up Obama's public support and rigging the voting so as to prevent as many likely Obama voters from voting and to maximize their electoral vote count (i.e. Pennsylvania). :puke:

6. Not to mention they have no successful track record economically.
Or really, with anything else for that matter, but especially Economically.

They can say "It's the economy, stupid", but where's the success of the Republicans on economics? How am I logically going to be convinced that they're going to be better?

A Republican president and a predominantly Republican House and Senate presided over the worst 10-year-period of job creation this nation's seen in 50 years. They're steadfastly on board with a Reaganomic system that's failed the United States (and subsequently, the World) for 30 years running. They have no plans to veer from this system of fail, but rather, make it more ruthless and more fascist, as hard as THAT is to believe.

They steadfastly refuse to end the wars or enact any new policy that includes taxing the wealthy.

I just don't get how anyone can look at their platform and logically tell me how that's NOT going to make things worse?

4. They were dead in the water a long time ago, but the common folk are working
too many jobs to keep their heads above water, or looking for non-existent jobs to notice.

I can't believe the people I've talked to who have never heard of the Koch Bros., or the Supreme Court ruling on corporations/elections/donations. People don't have the time to listen, let alone to get involved. "Keep them scrambling so they can't see what we're doing."

Well, it didn't work. Nany of us are putting out the message to watch these clowns, because they are ruining this country. We have to spread the message further and further into the community.

Hopefully, OWS will do that. They didn't think it would take hold, but a few more weeks of good weather, and it may take over the country...as it should.

5. The Repugs employ fuzzy political math.
IMO they screwed themselves for good last night.

It's simple enough that even Republican voters can understand it.

10. They have made it for 3 years, they will withstand another, and then they will rule
Because the outrage of the people is based on what their situation is, and it is bad. They will demand the change that Obama did not bring to us and they will go to the Republicans to deliver it because the Democrats have failed.
