Belgium has a nuke plant event

http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index2.php

A U.N. inspector and two other people are being checked for radiation exposure after a "contamination incident" at a nuclear waste processing facility in Belgium, the U.N. atomic agency said on Wednesday. Belgian authorities say no radioactivity leaked into the environment after Tuesday afternoon's incident at the Belgoprocess facility in the northern municipality of Dessel, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said. "The inspector, accompanied by a EURATOM inspector and a Belgoprocess official, was conducting a routine inspection at the facility when the incident occurred," it said in a statement. The three have undergone "external decontamination procedures" and medical checks and are now being assessed to determine the level of their exposure, the Vienna-based agency said. "Belgian authorities have reported that the incident area has been sealed off and no radioactivity has been released to the environment," it added.
"Decontamination of the facility is expected to begin soon."

2. Since Fukushima, the paranoids have been combing the Internet looking for anything negative
so they can use it to show nuclear power in a bad light.
Most if it has to be spun like a top to make it fit.

3. Yeah, and we were told (right here) for weeks and weeks that Fukushima was no big deal.
It's almost always bad news, little or no spin necessary.

6. Fukushima
is a pretty damn big negative that speaks for itself.

Ever since the Fuku meltdown, nuke promoters have been combing the net looking to neutralize any discussion about what is the biggest and most criminal abomination ever to be inflicted on the human race. The nuclear power industry has not been able to minimize its significant hazards to the people and the planet after decades. It's old technology now. A failure.

5. Many of the nuclear plants have reached the end of their planned life
Just stands to reason they'll start having problems, even though their licenses are being extended.

7. +10 And the reason the lives of current nuclear plants are being extended is because

the anti-nukers keep fighting their replacements with the new, better, safer technology.
Anti-nukers are their own worst enemies.

8. The reason they're being extended is because better safer tech is
unproven. The new, better, safer technologies (which aren't nuclear) don't have a proven track record of lining the pockets of the profiteers. They've proven they can supply enough energy though.
