Out of State contributors to Elizabeth Warren please check in.

I live in West Virginia but the only political candidate I have contributed any money to so far this year is Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, who is running to fill the Senate Seat once held by Teddy Kennedy, and now disgraced by an impostor from the Tea Party. I know there is strong support for Ms. Warren's run both here at DU and with those Democrats lucky enough to know of her out in the general public.

So tell me, do you support her bid for office and have you contributed to her campaign? She won't get elected for free you know!

$100 each it might not add up to what her opponent has in his pocket. I'm afraid it's going to be mostly up to Elizabeth to win the votes, and I think she can do it.

9. I don't have much, but I give what I can.

I'm not religious, so I don't tithe.

I pay dues to the local and county Democratic Party clubs,
give what I can to local progressives (not many in Michigan!),
and reward good behavior in other representatives.

When the people from Grayson's office called for a second donation,
I told them that his "Republican Health Care Plan" speech ALONE was
worth another 20 bucks!


I confess that my first out of state contribution was to a
Republican, Senator Jim Jeffords, when he left the Republican
party and refused to back the war, back in 2001.

He actually sent me back a thank you note and a picture of him
with Howard Dean.

I also got a handwritten thank you from Pete Stark. (LOVE HIM!)

Being unemployed takes a serious bite out of my ability to donate. Which was very minimal even with a job, given student loans. But Oregon lets you deduct the first $50, so if I can find the cash I can do that much at least, knowing it will come back to me.
