1. Because there are perps? People actually do commit acts of terrorism

There are plenty of reasons for us to get out of afghanistan, et al. I don't think an argument about grammar is the best one.

Those are your words, not mine.

As I said before, there are many reasons to get out of Afghanistan. Grammatical nitpicking is not one of them, and does not help our case.

It makes you appear as if you are denying the actual existence of groups that use terroism as a tactic

3. Obviously terrorism isn't just a 'lone nut' thing
Although sometimes it can be. But I imagine those who support the wars, including the administration and many Dems in Congress, would argue that they are trying to dismantle actual networks that go far beyond individual nuts.

7. Yep. This is the response.
I mean there are lot of shadings that go into this decision; like racism and bigotry, but this is the core of it.

4. Good question.
Since we attack any other country who "harbors terrorists", when are we going to attack ourselves?

5. Because it provides profits for campaign contributors
There'd be no point in hiring that fleet of lobbyists if there weren't a good buck to be made from it.

9. A good point. So, why is it that Pres. Obama
approves the killing of that cleric, Alawi, because his inflammatory rhetoric will allegedly cause others to commit terrorist acts, but when Beck and his ilk engage in the language of violence, they can't be held to account?

11. As Colbert pointed out, symbols mean things. Take the stop sign, for instance.
