questions on Troy Davis. i have not been following the threads.
i have a couple questions.

i googled and i cannot find any article on what Troy Davis says happened that night. does anyone know? and there was a homeless man being beat up. but no article told me he was killed. he should have seen what happened. and what is the theory on the earlier shooting, when a car drove by and a guy was shot in the face?

if anyone has any article or a thread that can direct me to this info, i would appreciate it.

i dont believe in the death penalty at all, a little, in the least, to be clear.

1. Here is the AP article.
http://www.seattlepi.com/news/article/Troy-Davis-How-did-we-get-here-2182568.php

The key piece of evidence to me is the ballistic evidence. It kind of beats me why a better examination couldn't be done. The earlier shooting didn't have Coles there, so if the bullet is definitely the same, then that rules Coles out I would think.

Lots more on Wikipedia but you know about reliability issues...

2. Here is the key part on ballistics from the AP article.
There were casings from bullets of the caliber that killed MacPhail. An expert from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation linked them to shells found at the scene of a non-fatal shooting a few hours earlier.

But firearms examiner Roger Parian could only say that the .38-caliber shell casings appeared to have come from the same gun.

"In this particular case, I couldn't unequivocally say it was the same gun," he testified.

5. ya.
he was walking with one friend when it supposedly happened. yet the friend says, he saw no gun, or didnt see who shot. that would be bogus anyway. then he met up with the other dude, that they are saying did the shooting.

3. As I recall, Davis admits to being one of the two men seen harrassing the homeless guy

But he claims he told the guy he was with (Coles) to stop and then ran off before the altercation with MacPhail. He claims he didn't witness the murder.

was in the AP story.

maybe so, but he met up with coles AFTER the first shooting that the casing probably match the same gun. yet the friend walking with him at that time says, ... he didnt see nuthin.
