News Corp. Columnist Holding Press Conference On "Why The GOP Must Win White America For Victory In 2012"

Peter Brimelow, a columnist for News Corp.'s MarketWatch, has been announced as one of three speakers at a press conference discussing "Why the GOP Must Win White America for Victory in 2012."

The press release explains:

On September 9, The National Policy Institute will present a comprehensive, yet simple, strategy for a Republican victory in 2012--Win the White vote. "The Majority Strategy" is based on the GOP expanding its traditional White voting base, as opposed to continuing its failed "outreach" programs to racial minorities.

Peter Brimelow of VDARE.com, radio host James Edwards, Jared Taylor of American Renaissance, and NPI's Richard Spencer will speak.

The conference will take place from 1:30 to 3 PM in The National Press Club's Holeman Lounge.

The event is being presented by the National Policy Institute (NPI), which describes itself as "promot the American majority's unique historical, cultural, and biological inheritance--and advances policies that, without prejudicing the legitimate rights of others, fearlessly defends our rights... our heritage."

Brimelow is the editor and publisher of VDARE.com, which features the writings of white nationalists and supremacists while arguing against non-white immigration. Brimelow has written that "(d)iversity is not strength. It is, in important respects, repression" and wrote a fundraising appeal that was headlined, "Coming White Minority? Help VDARE.COM Now!"

14. Peter Brimelow is English

he's a naturalised citizen; he's originally from Cheshire. So honestly it's a bit rich for him to be going on about what makes for a "real American"; obviously he considers himself, not a native-born citizen, more of a "real American" than someone named Rodriguez whose ancestors were in Texas in the 18th century (or for that matter than a black American whose slave ancestors arrived from Africa in the 1600's).

Brimelow and his ilk have their counterparts here in the UK in the British National Party, which wants "voluntary repatriation" of immigrants they deem to be "unsuitable"--their idea of "suitable" is: "ethnically British or assimilable northern European"; which to them means I who was born in the USA am "more British", despite my last UK-born ancestor leaving for America nearly 200 years ago, than is someone whose great-great-grandfather was from Barbados or India. Which is of course patently absurd.

The best thing to do with these racist idiots is to give them a forum where they can express their ideas in a manner that opens them to public humiliation; the average person probably finds their views loathsome and repugnant and totally at odds with American values (or for that matter British values; see the very public humiliation of the BNP's Nick Griffin on the BBC's Question Time, here).

The National Press Club is hosting this event and I am assuming that it will end up airing either live or at some point on CSPAN ~ so that might expose them for what they are. I was surprised at first that the Natl Press Club would host such an event, but, then, I see your point and am considering it may be best, as you advise, to give them a forum where they can air their loathsome views and be subject to public humiliation.

Interesting what could have been - or not have been - had we caught this four years ago. Back then, there was this white supremacist forum that we had called attention to and eventually attended that featured American Renaissance's Jared Taylor and National Review's homophobe extraordinaire John Derbyshire. It was originally supposed to be held at the building of the conservative activist organization Leadership Institute until it was forced to move to another location. . . . There was also a photographer there, and lo and behold this picture has surfaced of a now familiar face attending the forum - James O'Keefe. That's right, before the ACORN videos he produced, before the arrest for interfering with a Senator's phone lines, and just a few months after he graduated from Rutgers to work for the Leadership Institute, O'Keefe was manning a table at a forum of suit-and-tie Nazis.
