What we are really scared of RE: the TeaParty....
the have no real definition, no edges, and they represent the visibility and media savvy grassroots funding/organization/efforts we wish we could muster, when what we focus on is a co-ordinated effort like the R's of the late 90's.

We need real innovation, or we lose big. Change or Die. (metaphorically)

1. They are not a grassroots organization
They are a group of tools funded by big business.

2. They are not monsters, and we are not helpless. We beat ass, when we assert.
We are slow to rile. But, they know they have satan by the trident. And if we do not act as usual, apathy, dissociation, we will stomp their ever loving asses. Trounce them with demographics. That is why they are now talking about only "landowners" being able to vote, etc. That would exclude many more dems than rethugs.

3. The scariest part was their willingness to use violence in the 2010 election cycle
I know that I'm not supposed to use the N-word (the 4 letter one that ends in "azi"), but they remind me of men in brown shirts.

4. They were just astroturf and their #'s have dwindled...
Besides actual Republicans don't care for them much anyway. Neither do Independents. They are just a fringe element.

6. Bullshit, we beat them in all those categories.
How many MILLIONS of Americans were in the street to protest the Iraq invasion, before it even began?? The media barely covered any of it. Yet 20 teabaggers can get live coverage.

If we had the media on our side, we would live in a totally different world. Their funding and efforts and organizing had nothing to do with their influence today. It's there because of a pre-determined narrative.

Case in point:
