Quessing there isn't any 'there' in the jobs speech
in order to toss it to the side for the RNC 24 hour blather show followed by the results of the NFL opener into Friday News Dump cycle.

If it were truly groundbreaking (other than patent reform and free trade) he would have fought for it as to frame the GOP debate the day later.

1. What a surprise.
I suspected before that his 'jobs' speech was going to be just more pimping of more fucking free trade agreements.

2. He could give a speech tomorrow
On jobs and have media coverage if he wanted to go that route.

7. And just what difference will it make
between giving a speech in front of them, or having them read it in the newspapers?

I expect zero results from another speech.

8. So?
He doesn't have to do this as an address to Congress. He could directly engage the American people and send the Congress his proposals.

3. The true message he is sending is that
The message he sent tonight was that a gaggle of Republicans who have an election in 6 months have more important things to say about moving this country forward than the current administration does (nothing that this rescheduling has never happened before).

4. Watch out. Prognosticating what may be said can get things dissappeared.

9. Patent reform? People will be on the edge of their seats.
:eyes:

He needs to be talking to the American people - I don't think many of us care about patent reform!
