I think he thinks he knows something about this guy and it has nothing to do with political stance on issues. The way he denigrates him reminds me of the 'old days'...which are now the 'present' again.

rather forcefully against Perry. My take is the mainstream GOP are assembling a circular firing squad on Goodhair to diminish his primary chances. Evidently he's not their boy.

Rove's taken some shots at him too. My guess is that we're looking at the establishment types vs the Texas oil boys here. The eastern establishment, including Wall Street, are backing Romney but he's a hard sell to the base. They could laugh off Bachman but Perry's got them a bit spooked. I would think that the establishment types who thrive on stability might even be happier with another round of Obama than letting the rubes get control of the party.
