1. They just issued a tornado warning
for Chesapeake, Norfolk and VA Beach. It's getting pretty nasty in Williamsburg, too - lots of gusts!

2. Hi in The 'Burg!!!
Richmond here

Wind is picking up and it looks like I may have to finally mow the grass. It's been 7 weeks since I had to.

9. Just a little breezy and a light rain here in NOVA. It should pick up a little in the afternoon ...
but we don't anticipate much of an event. You guys stay safe down in the southeastern part of the state.

3. holy smokes!!
a tornado warning? :scared:

back to Underpants' point -- I'm glad they closed the tunnel. Even in normal weather, that thing also scared the hell out of me.

8. Yeah - it's about 50-60 miles away from where I am.
Still scary, though!!

I don't care for tunnels (or bridges) either. There was a poor woman working at a Williamsburg 7-11 this morning, and she had to 'look forward' to driving over a bridge to get home after work. I hope they let her go early...

I wouldn't have gone out in this crap, but I started a petsitting job here this morning - my client flew out of Richmond to go to Maine - he had to go be with his wife who's spending the summer there.

You would have had to knock my shit out with Xanax to have gotten me on a plane today. :P

Stay safe!!

6. I think I had just moved down to Norfolk right before Isabelle hit
and they didn't close the tunnel from Norfolk to Portsmouth quick enough and it flooded and caused some damage. I hope they close those soon enough. I just saw coverage on the Weather channel from VA Beach and it looks like the storm is starting to gear up there.

Stay safe folks. Even when there are good thunder boomers (I lived in the Ghent area) flooding was horrible.
