5. My car has already been keyed since I put mine on.
I don't care. I refuse to be intimidated. I'm thinking of a way to inform any future keyers that my car wears those stickers and key marks proudly. Oh, my other sticker is the DU one on my signature for Medicare For All.

64. I can put it on the old car-a new scratch will never be noticed.
Miss piggy has lots of stickers. They cover her rust spots and cosmetic issues.

The midlife crisis car dos not do bumper stickers.

10. I want one
But I'm a little afraid to use one. I just got a new car (and car payment) and am more than a little worried about violent tea baggers here in Kentucky damaging it, that's not something in the old budget, "insurance deductible from tea bagger destruction". It's a hybrid so I figure that would make it even worse for them.

I wonder, with the tea party's power here, if I can afford to have political bumper stickers anymore.

20. Well, I signed up to get one...
And I was going through the application, and lo and behold, here was an appeal for money.

Well, I ignored that part. I donated once and I don't feel like donating again...

But it wouldn't let me send the application without sending some money.

So.

I decided to email my response to the person sending the email. I told him that I didn't feel like sending any more money, and besides I'd been told that this would be a *free* bumper sticker.

So, what's up with asking for money?

I sent my email.

Not ten minutes later I had an answer! Your bumper sticker will be there in about 4 to 6 weeks!

It makes sense to raise your voice now and then, I guess...

49. Actually at the top of the donation page there is a Thank You
"Your sticker will arrive in 4 to 6 weeks."

THEN it says:
"Want to show your support all the way until November 2012? Donate $10 or more and we'll send you a 2012 car magnet."

So they do promise the bumper sticker before they ask for money. Of course, once you sign up for the bumper sticker, they have your info so expect them to hit you up for $$$ regularly over the next fourteen months.

So expect to get emails from them but not texts unless the account is linked.

I've had enough. Or maybe NOT enough! What he offers is going to the OTHER SIDE and IMO he is letting us down.

I will sign on with LABOR if they can mount enough of a challenge. I do realize that I will have to leave DU because of it, but my vote for him isn't going to be one that makes me happy. Most of my friends and family realize we don't have much choice, but we have decided not to hit the streets this time around.

to be.

So no loss on your part but BIG loss for this site. When it sticks by the Democratic Party even though they are pushing and passing Republican policies there is something terribly wrong. DINO Underground?

44. They have, indeed.
I just blew a wad o' cash on a union-made John Deer mower. The sticker is on my union-made car. Mr. Brickbat drives his union-made car (with a sticker) to his union job, where he drives a train to a mine where union miners pull iron ore out of the ground, and then drives the ore to the port, where it's dumped on union-run ships to be taken to union steel mills.

We're holding on.

Unless the president offers something pretty spectacular, like an aggressive jobs program (I don't care whether it passes or not. 62. In 2008 my Obama yard sign was stolen a couple hours after I put it outside.
Edited on Fri Aug-26-11 01:22 AM by Tx4obama

I got another one and put it in the inside of the house in the window.
Then I got worried that someone might throw a rock,
so I took it down and kept on the fireplace mantel in the den until after the election :)

p.s. Bumper stickers can be easily 'taped' to the inside of the back window of a car, then no one can steal them.

65. I got one in the mail about a month ago. It was free. I didn't have to ask for it.
It came with a request for campaign money.

I wrote ZERO in the 'amount' column, gave them the explanation that "I only vote for Democrats, not Republicans,"
and returned the bumper sticker. I wonder if they will write to me again? ;-)

However, I AM still waiting for my DU sticker that was supposed to be mailed to me when I
made my yearly donation at the beginning of July. I had one on my car for years,
and it has finally worn out. It started peeling at the same time as my old Obama sticker.
I'll gladly support and advertise for DU. DU doesn't make promises it won't keep.

82. No, more like 75%.
If you actually read the Politifact breakdown, instead of trying to look for a way to spin it, you'll see that it's 144 kept versus 45 "broken." Even then, most of the "broken promises" are due to obstructionism, such as the Senate's refusal to pass cap and trade.

84. Interesting
I counted a total of 508 promises. 144 complete, that is around 29%, I do believe the only one trying to "spin" it is you. Yes, a lot of those are "still in the works" and a bunch of promises have most certainly been blocked from the right, and even a few on the left, but they are still a promise none the less, you do not begin counting it once it has been vetoed or successfully pushed through.

79. Thanks, Skinner.
Just sent for mine. My bumper needs work, so I'm going to put on the Obama sticker, drive to the reddest part of Oregon, a hundred or so miles east of here, where I once "did time" and hope somebody smashes it in. And I can get my new bumper! They've been known to shoot people whose politics they don't like over in those parts, so I'm risking being gunned down, but I'll take m'chances.
