I am so very tired of politicians in suits taking credit for successes obtained
by the people on the ground who have died, been maimed, or who have suffered in the mud and the blood while fighting for a cause.

Politicians say "yes" or "no" to strategic planning presented by "generals" who plan while looking at the "big picture" while "thou and thine" are the ones taking the bullets and leaving our families.

Tunisia...Egypt...Libya...Syria(?)...Yeman(?)...Palestine(?)...

Those were not the successes of the politicians; they were and are and will continue to be the successes of the People.

2. Yes.....anything to take foreign policy credit away from Obama...

Got it.

Was wondering what kind of spin the FDLers would put on this.

5. You might want to check my posting history before trying to provide
"guilt by association".

I've not been a cheerleader, a basher, nor a hero worshipper of any "hero" and especially not of any politician.

6. I find it interesting that you and at least one other find this to be a "bash"
of President Obama.

10. Thank you for not kicking my ass.
:D

But especially...thank you for the time you served. I don't think I've ever made a point to say that to you before. I'm sorry.

I say it to you now: "Thank you for your service."

16. Did I say that? Is that anywhere in my OP?
I would like the people who are doing the dying and sacrificing to finally get the fucking credit for what they do.

Does that bother you?

We, the People, whether in the US or in Europe or in Africa or in the Middle East are the ones who die; are the ones whose lives are destroyed; are the ones whose families are ruined. It's about damned time that "we" are the ones who receive the credit and the recognition.

Not the politicians and generals safe in their hidey-holes.

THAT is all that I am saying.

17. Ya See C...
They are talking politics and elections.

You are talking about principles, morality, and justice.

Apparently the two have nothing to do with each other any longer.

19. They haven't ever...in my lifetime, WillyT.
It's just that now people are starting to realize what I grew up with.

Ok, I'm going to leave the board for a while, I think. It's just too sad.

Thank you, though, for your words here. It's nice to know I'm not completely alone. :\

Don't be gone too long, now.

We need voices of sanity and compassion.
