The left didn't show up and we got the tea bag republican disaster of 2010
Oh wait! Isn't this the same left that the Obama administration thinks the left is irrelevent and not worth listening to?

Just sayin.

1. I don't care what the Obama administration thinks of the left as much
as I care about keeping Republicans away from power. It's not about my ego or hurt feelings, the world doesn't revolve around me. No way am I taking myself - and others - down just because I'm pissed at this administration.

2. This leftist showed up.
I'd say the Independents and Centrists either didn't show or voted Teabag.

8. For starters, the myth that the "left stayed home in 2010"...
... An assertion that has been often made, but has not a shred of supporting data to back it up.

11. O.K. how do you explain 2010?
If the left showed up but the centrists and independents voted teabag then the centrists and independents are really stupid and we are screwed.

For what it's worth, I am not trying to devide anything. I'm just trying to point out that we are important and need to be paid attention to. Also for what it's worth, I have been a registered independent since Bill C signed the welfare deform act and, I'm so far left that my family nickname is Comrade, and my wife and I both showed up in California where the pubs had their asses handed to them, and, if this was the 1960's, most people who are called left today would have been considered slightly right of center moderates by 60's standards.

13. Your point is well worth making but the polls say
the left did turn out and that independents voted Republican because they ran on jobs and that was their issue.

7. If we have a divided party next year, we will lose.
A lot of people are already working to divide us up so the numbers are thin enough for a Perry victory.

And all of the cracks are being widened by the people speaking for the WH.

The Third way is for Jeb Bush? Damn, all makes sense now...

10. Your surmise is flawed, the Obama administration never said that.
However, if you're stirring the pot to turn the left against the Democratic incumbent, you're doing a good job of that.
When Obama had a Dem congress, we got healthcare and more. The US gave him a GOP House and we ended up with the 2011 House Debt Ceiling debacle.
Don't blame Obama for the Rethuglicans in Congress, give him something to work with.
Or do the GOP's job and just bash him mindlessly, your choice.

15. Obama never said that directly but he does have the habit of bragging
how little he listens to the left and how angry he makes them. Same difference.

And yes, he is to blame for 2010, because voters wanted JOBS and he did nothing about it for two years but left the field wide open for the Republicans to run on that issue.

19. Actually, his spokspeople pretty much did say that and as for
mindlessly bashing, is that what any criticisim of Obama is? Republicans are the ones who will mindlessly follow even someone as stupid as Bush. The rest of us have a right, ney, a duty to speak up when our leaders are going in the wrong direction, or maybe you think Obama's constant capitulation to the right is a good thing. Personally, I don't like it and don't think it is somehow disloyal to say so.

But, they're sticking to that program.

I would say fear factors into the increase in abuse, wouldn't you?

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Albert Einstein"

Wonder if the WH needs to be reminded of the quote from Albert?

who feel betrayed.

21. It was the new voters
And the indies who were sick of Bush.

When 2 years passed and nothing changed, and no one cared about Main St., that huge bubble of Hope Obama called for popped.

I remember during the campaign he talked about "The audacity of Hope." The fact that he betrayed that was more than a little stunning.

24. Low turnout
Low numbers of voters. Makes it easy to fudge votes that way.

But, progressives mainly kept their seats. It was blue dogs that were toasted.

Obama was not up for election but still the repuglycans campaigned against him. And Pelosi.

If you look at many of the numbers the selections which came about were pretty small margins.

Easy enough to program the machines to steal a few hundred votes here and there and make it look clean. We'll never know, but many of your fellow citizens have a reasonable doubt. Very reasonable.

27. Two different tactics with two different goals.
The first is an attempt to place the blame for absolutely anything on people that don't love Him enough. The second is an attempt to marginalize people for not following His glorious example. Both are behaviors normally associated with cults. Just sayin.
