The corporations are extremely happy with his performance.
The health-insurance lobby is tap dancing. The banks and Wall Street are whistling a happy tune. The energy companies are clinking glasses, as are the mucky mucks from Big Ag and Big Pharma. Those who run the war machine must have weekend celebrations that rival most frat parties.
They've landed nearly everything on their wish list--and now, cuts in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are "on the table".
There's no need to change course.
Ever wonder why the Republican field is littered with unelectable tools like Bachman, Perry and Romney--who, as a Mormon will NEVER inspire enough voters from the Christian wacko end of the Republican party, who are needed to secure a win.
This is not about Obama being "a wimp" or a bad person. Really, this is about the Presidency of the United States being a powerless role. The corporations, the neocons and the elites decide. If the President isn't one of them, he's schooled and told how it will go down. If he's one of them, well that makes the destruction of our democracy that much easier.
Until we face the fact that our candidates will continue to serve their corporate masters--at our expense--then no matter who is President--this country will continue sliding into a very dark place.
