Palooza?

If not, has anyone followed up? Has he commented?

Thanks!

(Just seems too rich to let it pass,)

1. There you go, trying to connect dot A to dot B. That doesn't happen in Teabagville.
Edited on Fri Aug-19-11 11:08 AM by valerief
Teabaggers don't even know what a dot is.

10. Dots are socialist plots, you know
Granted, these are people who can descry direct taxpayer funding of abortion if a gynecologist sees a Medicare patient, but they don't see any relation whatsoever between their favorites, their actions, and any negative consequences. Doesn't exist. Can't see it. No idea what you're talking about. Shut up.

8. There was some rain in some of the places, wherever Midland is
But not enough to alleviate the severe drought. Perhaps they just didn't pray good enough.

11. Sure, if you don't count the unprecedented New England tornado outbreak
Or, California's, Washington's and Oregon's winter storms, flooding and mudslides.

Or, Maine, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, New Mexico and Wisconsin's severe winter storms.

Or, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont's Severe Storms, Flooding, Tornadoes, and Straight-line Winds.

Yeah, then sure.

12. Texas is still in a drought like no other.
And it's looking like we're not going to see it break anytime soon. Long term predictions are showing it may last another year.

Here's something you'll enjoy. It's an article on how Perry's politics in Texas could cause our residents to go without drinking water in the future.

Under Perry projects to meet water needs stall.

Close-up: Texas under Perry
Water projects for the future have stalled since '97

AUSTIN — When the Legislature approved a statewide water plan in 1997, then-Lt. Gov. Bob Bullock hailed it as "the heart of our legacy," while its sponsor, Sen. J.E. "Buster" Brown, promised it would provide plentiful supplies of the crucial resource "for our grandchildren and our grandchildren's grandchildren."

Then came the Great Drought: Since passage of the landmark 1997 legislation, state funding for water projects has been as scarce as rain in the summer of 2011.

Fourteen years after Bullock and Brown laid out a road map for securing adequate water resources for the state's booming population, state leaders still have not found a reliable way to finance water development beyond asking voters for authority to issue debt through bonds.

With the population of Texas expected to double by the year 2050, Gov. Rick Perry is fond of saying that people have been "voting with their feet" for the state's conservative governing principles. The additional population, however, has severely strained the state's infrastructure.

13. we lost 100 acres to wildfires last night in Ellis and Kaufman counties
We have had 3-4 wildfires/day of one degree or another in the 10 county area around me.
The chance of rain is 0% for the next days.
It is a world of hurt here.

20. Hell NO!
And I sent him a scathing letter telling him to get his corn dog eating butt back here and take care of this problem. We had a 2 day water outage in our small poor town due to old wells and increased usage. There are other small towns in the same situation. Old infrastructure that cannot keep up with demand. We have underground aquifers that are not in serious serious danger, just need improvemnt in getting it to the people.

Also contated the President because this is a perfect job creating situation. Sent same to Chris Matthews.
