Gettin’ Worried: Scott Brown Begs For Money To Help Fight Elizabeth Warren

Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) just might have a formidable opponent next year in former Harvard professor and progressive heartthrob Elizabeth Warren. And it looks like he's starting to get nervous about it.

On the heels of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee's $100,000 campaign cash haul on Warren's behalf, Brown's up with a new fundraising appeal begging supporters to help him before it's too late.

"Help Scott fight back," the fundraising appeal implores. Brown Finance Director John Cook lays out the stakes:

The Democratic political establishment is going to pull out all the stops next year, doing whatever it takes to win back a seat that they think belongs to them by right but which we know actually belongs to the people. They are so obsessed with winning this seat back that Washington elitists are trying to push aside local Democrat candidates in favor of Professor Warren from Oklahoma.

Still more signs that liberal heroine Elizabeth Warren is seriously considering a challenge to Scott Walker.

And Scott Brown’s campaign is now raising money in preparation for a Warren challenge — note that Brown’s camp is already playing the “liberal elitist” card by labeling her “Professor Warren.”

They crave a totalitarian order, for all their blather about liberty.

3. Are the people of MA unhappy with Brown as others have been
elsewhere with their "statement" choices? Or are they happy with his performance thus far?

I honestly don't recall hearing much about him in quite a while.

Regardless, I think Warren would appeal to a really wide range of people, she makes so much sense and is obviously sincerely on THEIR side.

8. Actually, and unfortunately,
many of the Independents I talk with thing he is just that - fairly independent. They really seem to be rather happy with him. I will always try to point out some of the obviously wrong positions he has taken, but, on the whole, he does seem to know when he can make the right decision to make himself look less right wing. We are going to have a difficult time, I fear....but if our Democratic candidate is the right one, we can, I think, pull it out.

4. Would be exciting as hell if she were the candidate
No one does a better job at breaking down the economic challenges of the middle class while standing up for government remedies.

7. All he needs to do is suck down a little Koch for $$$upport
I'm certain they would provide him with all the money he needs. Especially if it means defeating Professor Warren.

9. Scott Brown, we are coming for you.
If Elizabeth Warren formally announces her candidacy, it will ELECTRIFY progressives. The Warren Senate exploratory committee should build in a massive fundraising effort and set the bar high, like 25 Million.

10. "Professor Warren from Oklahoma"
Oh, good grief! By the time of the election, she will have lived here for 20 years. She is, in my opinion, "from" Massachusetts. If that is how he wants to look at it, he would be Attorney Brown from Maine. (born in Kittery, Maine, 1959).
