Molly Ivins first called him Gov. Goodhair.....but
she was more than Queen of the one liners. I loved her humor, but the reason it worked was because she always "aimed upward." Satire works only when it is aimed at the powerful, something that the right will never learn.

In addition to being funny, Molly was brilliant, smart, and fearless. We lost her too soon. I'd love to hear her take on current events, wouldn't you?

From her last column, Jan.11, 2007: We are the people who run this country. We are the deciders. And every single day, every single one of us needs to step outside and take some action to help stop this war. Raise hell. Think of something to make the ridiculous look ridiculous. Make the troops know we're for them and trying to get them out of there.

Not funny, but still as true today as when she wrote it.

1. I miss her SOOO much...
She could be humorous, when I just felt anger (towards Bush*).... Boy, could we use her now!

3. I loved Molly Ivins.
Her and Ann Richards were my two favorite Texans. (unless I count my daughter, she was born there but we left when she was three) How on earth did the state get from Ann Richards to Rick Perry. I feel so sorry for Texas, they deserve better.

4. Oh boy, am I missing Miss Molly bad.
She sounded the bell on Bush and his Texas tea long before he loaded up the truck and moved to D.C.

Never too late to say thank you. Thanks again, Molly.

5. Molly said this:
"Next time I tell you someone from Texas should not be president of the United States, please pay attention."
