If Obama runs against Rick Perry he should make foreign policy a major issue
Obama should say Rick Perry will have a reckless foreign policy just like George W. Bush. I'm not sure how successful this might be though given that Obama still has soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan and is involved in Libya. It would probably have some success given that the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq started before Obama became president.

2. I don't agree. Unless we are attacked, this will not be a national security
election.

4. You're right about that. It's going to be economy all the way
Kasich managed to win here in Ohio last year by more or less repeating the word 'jobs' over and over. Sadly, that seemed to be enough.

3. Sure didn't work for George HW Bush in 1992
Remember he was the 'experienced' candidate who tried to put his own FP credentials against Clinton's lack of them. And he got his ass handed to him in part because the economy was far more important to most people.

6. Perry is trying to sideswipe Pres O by touting his military service in the Air Force.
Pres O should absolutely tout his Commander-in-Chief experience.

"I want to make sure that every young man and woman who puts on the uniform of the United States respects highly the president of the United States," Perry said Sunday night in Waterloo.

Perry, who flew C-130s in the Air Force, said after a house party in Cedar Rapids on Monday that he thinks members of the military and veterans would prefer to have a veteran as commander in chief.

"I think people who have had the same experiences connect with individuals of like experience," Perry told reporters.

He added, "The president had the opportunity to serve his country, I'm sure, at some time, and he made the decision that that wasn't what he wanted to do."

9. Perry is being "advised" by Doug Feith. That should tell us all we need to know.
