2. 2 in Md., 1 in D.C. (I think) and something suspicious at Cong. Gifford's office.
Although I don't remember hearing what it was.

8. It just pisses me off that no attention as been given to these incidences...
as more examples of domestic terrorism.

I guess our media figures if they don't talk about it, it didn't happen.

10. Forget about packages.
Take a visit to your local jail.

Lots of lack of attention there. And probably more pressing for you.

19. Filled with lots of people that look like me..............
and a few that don't.

We visited our jail in Oct. - my daughter got married there. Bridal parties and visitors get searched, sit and wait together in the same lobby.

Now what.

I haven't heard a peep out of our media about them since last week. Even then, they barely discussed the matter.

21. I was curious at the time if someone was just trying to prove our DHS is inadequate
.. for all the possibilities out there.

I've been tempted to do something that crazy.. but then again, I'm not that crazy.

Altho I did forget a used packet of Tums that I had in my pocket when I went through TSA. It had only three left in it.
The little agent said 'whats in your pocket'. I pulled it out and showed her and tried to move on. But NOoooooooooooo.
THEY HAD TO BE SCANNED. So back through the detector, into a bowl, onto the belt, back through the scanner, pick up my 3 tums.
Sigh.

I muttered 'SERIOUSLY!' as I passed the TSA agent the second time.. .she said 'YES SERIOUSLY!'.

Swallow a Camel, choke on a gnat.

Exploding packages and Burning cars...
Edited on Tue Jan-11-11 03:19 PM by eowyn_of_rohan
Ashley Turton, wife of White House liaison to the House of Representatives Dan Turton, and former chief of staff to Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) and was found dead in her car Monday morning.
...According to the D.C. Fire and Metropolitan Police departments, Turton’s car was discovered ablaze in a row house garage, presumably the Turton home, in the 800 block of A Street Southeast near Eastern Market.
“This could be just a tragic freak accident,” Breul said. “And that’s why we’re crossing our i’s and dotting our t’s because it is a little freaky, and we need to figure out why. But there is no indication now that there was any crime.”

26. And now, a car explosion in Penrose Virginia
A white BMW exploded around 8:15 a.m. this morning in the Penrose neighborhood. Police say they believe the blast was accidental.

The explosion happened on 9th Street South between Veitch Street and Courthouse Road. No one was hurt, according to fire department spokesperson Lt. Ed Hughes.

“It appears to be an accident,” said police spokesperson Det. Crystal Nosal. “Nothing at this point leads us to believe it’s intentional.”

The car was parked in front of a single family home, but in proximity of two large apartment complexes: Dorchester Towers and 2121 Columbia Pike Apartments. It is three to four blocks away from the high-security headquarters of the Defense Information Systems Agency.
