I wonder if the reason some states, such as SC, go Republican is because

the "War on Drugs" has disenfranchised many, especially minorities, who would NOT vote Republican if they could vote. SC is about 66% white, according to this

Maybe not on the national level, but on the state level at least.

I can't prove this, but I think it's a strong possibility.

1. Vote suppression goes deeper than just the War on Some Drugs
though that's a big part of it.

Look how many states, SC included, are pushing a photo ID requirement to vote. Then look who runs those states. Repukes.

Repukes want fewer people to vote. Dems want more people to vote.
