Imagine and world where Bachmann/Perry/Romeny are POTUS.
Teabaggers in charge of everything.

You don't believe that they will dismantle all of the safety nets?

You don't believe that they will keep the tax cut for millionaire and billionaires and raise on the poor and middle class by cutting the safety nets.

You don't believe that they will kill the health care law.

You don't believe that they will raid Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid?

You don't believe that they will start a war with Iran.

You don't believe that they will start steps to outlaw homosexuals and their rights, DADT, DOMA, etc.

You don't believe that they will try and merge church and state.

You don't believe that they will if we don't stop them now, will never stop them.

You don't believe that they will redistrict democrats out of all offices.

You don't believe that they will bring in people like Palin, etc. to hold offices in some way to bolster their influence.

You don't believe that this will only be the tip of the iceberg?

You think that President Barack Obama is just like them?

I don't have children, but if you do, shouldn't you be thinking about their futures under a teabagger country?

If, they take over think how hard it might be to get a democrat back into the WH or any other office in the country.

They will over reach, but who will be there to stop them if we don't do it now.

If you think Obama is the same and has done nothing to try and get us out of the hole bush and republicans put us in, think again.

aren't and some are very dangerous, and they're moving into mainstream American politics.

Look at some of the despotic countries around the world, any thinking that could not happen here with a teabagger regime of sorts really really need to get their head out of their butt.

The US did not just casually come about, and any thinking it's going to casually stay this way really need to read some history about failed nations. We are on the edge and 2012 could well move this nation into an irrecoverable position into moving well toward a theocracy with Nazi's in charge.

So many Americans are sooo lethargic and apathetic when it comes to paying attention and voting it's difficult to tell what might happen in 2012. Never underestimate American lunacy.

And while I voted for a Dem president, I don't see much difference in this admin from the complete republican controlled state I've been in for decades.

untold disaster isn't an example of boogieman posts. I'm sorry, Donna, but this post paints an accurate picture.

11. They would never leave the WH and would put troops on the streets to
bring the populace into compliance. We've seen this before in history, regimes taking over a nation, there is absolutely no reason that a RW regime could not take over America if the populace remains lethargic, apathetic and ignorant about what's behind the RW agenda.

These people are highly motivated, they are organized and have a RW religious machine behind them commanding the flocks. These are highly dangerous times for the future of America. Too many Americans take America for granted.

would teach those people a lesson, and would be fine with total collapse.

22. Yep, the package deal would definitely bring about some type of a theocratic dystopia IMO. Often I
wonder how many Americans really get what's going on and that we well might be at a major crossroads in 2012.

they can and bring on their rapture. These people are nuts, absolutely nuts, a bunch of failed losers that can't cope with the world to make it better, so in their fucked up religious beliefs they want to destroy everything not just for themselves, but for everyone else. They are terrorists. I wish Americans would wake the F up. These people embody an ultimate defeatist attitude.

15. I was told here that presidents can't just wave a magic wand and get things done.
So, as long as there are enough Democrats for a filibuster I'm sure they'd be powerless. After all, it worked for the Republicans against Obama.

20. I suspect that if Romney is the Nominee, something I don't expect, he would win.
I think Romney could beat Obama. In fact I think he could do pretty easily. I also think that if he were elected he would be about the same as Bush I. It wouldn't be pleasant, but we would live through it.

23. I've been thinking similarly. Romney would be the least dangerous, as you say,
"It wouldn't be pleasant, but we would live through it." Romney IMO is not nuts, the others are ... He well knows the others are nuts and certainly avoided Iowa to keep his distance.

I think he's going after what remaining republicans are sane and the independents, and possibly some disaffected democrats that somehow think he will create a job for them, not getting he's a corporate hatchet man.

Plus I hate to admit this, but I thought after Bush 2 was elected: "Ok he is a huge fuck up, but how bad could it really be?"
