2. Of the options on the poll: Schweitzer....of the options not on the poll: Feingold.
Feingold/Schweitzer would be a winning combination.

Gillibrand has been anointed by the king (or in this case, queen) makers. She is not to be trusted.

4. Feingold couldn't even win in his own blue state, how would he win nationally?

5. The people of WI made a mistake and they know it. He has "fiscal conservative" street cred without
being the Republican type of fiscal conservative. I think he'd be a great choice.

3. It's Schweitzer, not Shweitzer.
Edited on Sun Aug-14-11 08:55 PM by LAGC
In any case, he is a libertarian-leaning pro-gun rural Democrat who could really win over a lot of moderates/centrists while still keeping true to key Democratic values. He'd likely win over most of the West, and maybe even make some in-roads in the Deep South as well.

He knows how to deal with Republicans as well, with his "VETO" branding iron:

9. Voted for "other"
He may have "retired" from politics, but if Al Gore were to enter into the race, I'd toss my support to him in a heartbeat.

Out of all the prominent figures that the Democrats have, he's not only the one I'd give the nod to for making the best President, but also the one who stands the best chance of bringing the bulk of the party together for an all-out push to hang on to or retake power (depending on what the fallout of the 2012 and 2014 elections are).

He was the President that we should have been given in 2000, but he was denied to us then.

17. Avoid Gillibrand like the plague. She was anointed by the kingmakers and will say anything to win.
She's also a $chumer acolyte.

Or Anthony Weiner.

Or both. It wouldn't even matter to me who's on top of the ticket.

24. Other: probably none of them.
I'd be voting for a strong, unapologetic, take-no-prisoners left-of-center Democrat.
