My 80 year old parents (previous Republicans) did too and my dad was defending him pretty much until about three months ago.

Putting this in caps since it's so hard to get: THEIR MAIN POLITICAL STRATEGY IS TO DO EVERYTHING IN THERE POWER TO STALL HIS AGENDA REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH DAMAGE THEY DO TO THE COUNTRY.

Call out the GOP for doing as you describe, and mean it and point to examples.
