None of us likes to hear jokes made at our expense, true or not. Unfortunately we here at DU suffer from the same delusion as those over at FR. We labor under the mistaken impression that our views are shared by some vast but silent majority of Americans. But that's not how it is. We are in the minority every bit as much as the tea party and the freepers are in the minority. We are the fringe. As good as our ideas are, most Americans just don't get it.
