Lawrence is on fire.... Most undemocratic institution in history of the country.
Super committee will only represent 15% of people, with the Senate picks in and Representatives all covering roughly the same amount of people.

1. The super committee is a direct result of the failure of leadership
and how no one wants to take responsibility...so now even less people have to be responsible. Fucking sad and tragic, but next year they will top it with something even more unconstitutional.

My country is fucking loonie toons.

5. A complete abdication of responsibility - cowards! You're right, it'll get worse.

3. There is that, but his plan was too concentrated.
2 Dems from Cali
2 Reps from Texas
Schumer from NY and TeabagToomey from PA?

I get the % argument, but that is too stacked in favor of 4 states.

4. Anything they come up with still has to be voted on by the full bodies

If we don't like it, we can lobby our reps and senators to reject it.

It can also be vetoed by the President.

yes... I know that kicks in the automatic cuts... but I think the automatic cuts to defense might be worth it.

8. I hope somebody takes some kind of legal action to stop this.
Sounds pretty unconstitutional to me. But there are questions of standing, and procedurally I'm not sure how it would be done. Injunction? Writ of prohibition? I hope some good legal minds look into this.

9. The supercommittee changes nothing; the lobbyists will still write the legislation
