We need to steal a page from the Republicans:
For years, you may have noticed that cons never just say "tax hike." It is ALWAYS "job-killing tax hike." Never mind that there is no real correlation between tax hikes and lost jobs. They have just been working really, really hard to create that association in our minds. That is a simple talking point they have employed very consistently and apparently with success.

We need to use the phrase "job-killing budget cuts." We must never just say "budget cut." It must always be "job-killing budget cut." And it's not a false association. Budget cuts really do mean lost jobs. Budget cuts do hurt the economy.

Please! Everyone! Start saying "job-killing" every single time you speak of budget cuts. Make it a habit, and urge everyone you know to do the same.

1. I think we all know this.
The grass roots gets it. The party elite never seem to. I've watched them take beatings for years. I just don't get it. Fight fire with fire. Things just get worse and worse, and nothing ever changes, so don't hold your breath.

2. And if you do use it - prepare to respond to "how do budget cuts
kill jobs?"

I get teabaggers all the time with "How?" when they say something stupid.

For example: they say - Tax hikes hurt the job creators. I ask "How do tax hikes hurt them?" "How many jobs have been created with the historically low taxes we have? I need specific numbers". Of course they change the subject.

5. It should be a part of every Democrat's daily lexicon.
You can't just say it once.

Obviously when a teacher or FDA inspector gets laid off there is one less customer in someone's restaurant, and one more person drawing unemployment benefits.

Job-killing budget cuts kill jobs and put the brakes on the economy.
