phony baloney

Texas Gov. Rick Perry prays at the rally.

Standing on a stage surrounded by thousands of fellow Christians on Saturday morning, Gov. Rick Perry called on Jesus to bless and guide the nation’s military and political leaders and “those who cannot see the light in the midst of all the darkness.”

4. Please -- that's a terrible slur
Baloney is a fine, upstanding luncheon meat that has done nothing to deserve such defamation!

11. I pray for that as well
for those who cannot see the light because the corporate b.s. is obscuring the truth. For those "leaders" who have hard hearts and dishonest tongues to be guided to repentance and conviction of their evil deeds.

Ezekiel 11: 19 "Then I will give them one heart and put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh."

13. This part is interesting
"Organizers for the event, called The Response: A Call to Prayer for a Nation in Crisis, estimated that more than 30,000 people were at Reliant Stadium when Mr. Perry spoke. The seating capacity is 71,500, and tens of thousands of seats in the upper decks were empty."

Since the organizers estimate 30,000, I think we can safely chop that down to 10,000 or less. I believe it's a ticketed (albeit free) event, so it shouldn't be that hard to get an accurate count.
