will be seen as losing to the teabaggers. No matter what, we want a deal has to be made. I may not like it, but the teabaggers will revolt. I'm fine with that.

Also, this is what happens when democrats and independents decide to stay home on off elections. Very expensive lesson to be learned. Let's not do that again, ok?

1. You assume we can count on an honest election process.
And, I must say, you are blaming the victims for this debacle.

2. Interesting read
http://crooksandliars.com/

The Tea Party "patriots" and political apostles of Pope Grover are really shooting themselves in the foot on this one, and they're just too dumb to realize it. There just isn't that much discretionary spending left to cut -- which means it will come from state budgets, where the pain will be amplified on the local level. It will be interesting to watch all these Republican governors and state legislators try to explain away the eventual steep rise in state and local taxes, trying desperately to distance themselves from the consequences of their "cut cut cut" rhetoric. Wait until all those Medicare-loving tea lovers find out their spouses who need nursing home care will no longer be eligible -- because the Medicaid funds aren't there anymore.

Congratulations, all of you - here comes your instant karma!

4. but
it was probably how we got DODT repealed along with extension of the unemployment checks. It was a hard bargain to swallow, but it probably saved a lot of lives.

7. Addendum
"Also, this is what happens when democrats and independents decide to stay home on off elections. Very expensive lesson to be learned. Let's not do that again, ok?"

This is also what happens when elect a moderate conservative for President. He snookered us into believing he was something he wasn't. He either was flat out lying when campaigning or he has no backbone whatsoever. Seems more interested in getting the republicans to like him than standing up for our country.

9. So How Does Voting in Right Wing Democrats Help Again?
Let me see...

Supporting the "lesser evil" is good because:

Every election cycle we get closer to the same outcome as electing a Republican it just takes longer and sometimes even more damage can be done by a Democrat (like offering up Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid for no good reason-something a Republican can't do) and it takes longer to achieve the devastation of electing Republicans. Also, dedicated party "loyalists" get too numb themselves and play victim.

Am I getting it?
