It is a classic case of the true criminal pointing a finger of accusation. The Tea Partiers were all Bush voters and all voters for the GOP Congress during the Bush years that so ruined everything. They have the country's economic blood on their hands, and it won't wash off. They need to have the validation of political impact, because they think it proves they aren't guilty. It doesn't. Ultimately, the Tea Party is fighting others, because their own consciences have the goods on them. They need to focus outside, because they can't live with what is inside.

Now, they can't admit that their entire world view is, at best, maybe half right.
