He and other friends say there are lots of "flower demonstrations" in support of openness and democracy occurring.

Another friend said a child "drew a picture to lay down together with all the flowers near the church here in Oslo with the words of one of the youngsters from the Labour Party's youth organization that did not attend the camp this particular year: 'When one man can show so much hatred, it is nothing compared to all the love we can show together.'"

What a beautiful country, with such civilized and lovely people.

They know about Beck's (and similar) remarks but understand who he is and say they have gotten word of many comforting messages from the US.

my favorite of Kurt Nilson is "Gje meg handa di venn" (give me your hand) a simple old Norwegian lullaby, but is used also for funerals. The lyrics are so comforting and peaceful.
