Can Obama direct an investigation of the media inciting this violence?
Could Obama direct the Department of Justice to assess what has been said in the media to incite violence in American society?
Would this Supreme Court view this kind of incitement as shouting 'fire' in a crowded theater?

Do DUers think we have a chance that the rule of law will be restored in America?
Or do folks think things are alright and this is just a lone nut and we should let it go and move on - not heighten the rhetoric... etc

1. Only if his corporate masters tell him he can
So, no, I don't think the "rule of law" will be restored in America anytime soon.

Has "rule of law" ever reigned supreme in this country?

Or has it always been "survival of the most ruthless"?

Forgive my cynicism - I've been reading about this all day and realizing
how many people on this forum are actually in league with the "powers that be".
Maybe this will be the event that gets the middle on the left side, the progressive,
forward-thinking and love-dominated side.

who is shocked at just how duped many DUers are. H20 man feels they are sincere. I agree, and I feel they are responsible to wake up. And I tend to make myself the gadfly to that end. It's nascent Nazism and we better not lend tacit approval by following media directives to tuck nuts and STFU.

Well, a good place to start would be to have an official investigation of how Bush and his cronies got us into an illegal war in Iraq.

I would agree that the terrorist killings in Arizona were sad and tragic but over a million civilians died as a result of Bush admin lies. There's not enough room under the rug for all that.

5. So true
They've burned down the house for the lump under the rug. Obama is such a heartbreak, I love this country and he is holding the ankles as the Rethugs have at it.

6. POTUS Obama should at least appoint a Commission
as to the rhetoric and actions associated with politics and the media. Insert sarcasm smilie.

Doubt if a Commission or DOJ investigation will happen.

For the immediate past and future the rule of law is shakey.

Our ever expanding War on Terror may have brought the political violence home. As many and as important people are killed nearly every day as what happened in AR because of our international policies.

IMO the financial and war criminals should be brought to justice and this is what bi-partisan and rule of law means and is baseline for reset of USA society.

I worry about the broken minds and bodies coming home from the wars as well as how long war will continue and continue to not be expanded.
