The Cenk Uygur Show
Where is Cenk? I have been out of the country for the last two weeks.

3. Sharpton Is Good On The Issues & Is More Liberal, But I Simply CAN NOT
stand his voice and pauses. Nothing against him, but it grates on my nerves for some reason and I just have to turn it off.

I know there are comments that Cenk is OUT, but I do wish he would come back. Sharpton is good as an addition, but sorry there is something that keeps me from listening to Al.

It's NOT personal, but it's like listening to nails on a chalk board for me. It's just a personal decision and I know it means nothing to a lot of people. I just turn it off though.

4. Al said this morning that he's been asked to stay on for another couple of weeks.
I've loved watching the show since I found out that he was filling in. Not sure, but something tells me that Cenk won't be returning. Rev. Al may not get the spot, but something's going on. ;)

5. Al is great, but not quite ready for semi-primetime.
He is also uncritical, for the most part, of the president, while Cenk is willing to take it to the admin and Dems in general when they fall short of our principles (which is pretty often these days).

I wonder if White House pressure has been applied?

Do you think that is possible?

8. Perhaps They Need To Find Another Person. I've Already Noted Some Of
my problems with him, but there is MORE. Fresh, new blood is needed and despite what many right leaning Dems here feel about Ratigan, I REALLY, REALLY like him. Sure, he doesn't always make comments I agree with, but I find him extremely informative AND intelligent.

He DOES try to make valid points about what the FAT CATS are doing to this country, and I do believe he's very concerned about what cutting the BIG-3 will mean (Ratigan that is) so I'm one who likes him.

For Sharpton, I honestly think they can do better. And I call myself a LIBERAL too!

13. I am fine with Sharpton, but not if it means losing Cenk.

And it doesn't have to.

Put Al on in the Tweety repeat slot, at 7 PM EST.

All I really know is that I no longer watch the 6pm hour on M$NBC. Al sucks.

16. I Have Turned Him Off Every Day This Week. I Thought Cenk Was Coming
back, but guess not. I simply CAN NOT take his voice, it just grates on me. Believe me, I HAVE TRIED!

I did turn him off a couple of times last week too. I'm sure his views are in line with mine for the most part, and I'm certainly no racist of any sort, I just can't stand listening to him.

Turned my TV off for now. It's just too bad, but it is what it is!

10. IMHO... MSNBC can't get Cenk out fast enough. And thats a good thing!

This is one heck of a long vacation. The show is much better with Sharpton as host.

I have noticed in my TV program guide that Cenk's name is no longer there. And the 6-7pm news block is just called MSNBC Live. If Cenk still had his show, wouldn't they keep his name up in "lights".

11. I like Rev. Sharpton, but
he loses control of the interview and it descends into a "Crossfire" type contest with everyone attempting to talk over the others.

12. Cenk can just take his self on over to Current with Keith.
I LOVE Al Sharpton, but more as a commentator than an interviewer. Right now he's a bit rough. He knows his stuff, but his style needs some polish (too much talking over people).

20. "It's unfortunate that Cenk has declined our offer to have him develop
and host a program for another time slot," MSNBC adds. The Turkish American radio talk show host plans to hold a teleconference with the press on Thursday where, the invitation says, he will "boldly discuss his departure from MSNBC."

Wow...looks to me like Cenk may have something else in the works. CurrentTV, maybe?

haven't seen or read anything to that effect.

I'd like to see Current become the counter to Fox Noise, a news network that is slanted to the Left which reports truth. Heck, I'd actually prefer an purely objective format. But I realize that's probably hoping for too much.

24. I think when Al has something he wants to say,
...that he is passionate about, there is nobody who can say it better. But I'm not sure a format where he is basically forced to talk for an hour every day consistently showcases his speaking and debating abilities. I think when the news and topics become more heated (not in an argumentative way), he will shine.I hope they keep him on or give him his own show.
