Lindsey Graham just said this is an issue
of the Republican's own making. We are getting signals, mixed as they may be... that the Republicans are in full firing squad mode

9. Apparently the Republicans' crazy wing won't take 3 for you, 1 for me from Obama
So I'm not worried about the farm being given away. They won't deign to take it unless it's wrapped up for them in gilt paper and satin bows. Even Obama has his limits.

5. Both the rich/corporations and the teabaggers are painting at the same time.
No wonder they are backed into a corner. Oh this may be the gift that keeps on giving.

6. Of course...basic logic.
The same big corporation money that put these asshole freshmen "teabaggers" in their positions are the same companies that will lose billions in market valuations if their stock drops 30% in the next few weeks due to a huge global financial scare. It is very plain and simple.

Big business and Wall street will be on these Repukes like white on rice to get the deal passed now. You really think B of A, BP, Exxon, Wells Fargo, Chase, AIG, Boeing, GE, Koch Brothers, etc. want to lose billions and billions of market share? No fucking way.

7. The Whackjob Wing is concentrated in the House, not Senate
Edited on Wed Jul-13-11 10:04 PM by kenny blankenship
Graham, even McConnell, don't want to go there. They don't want to really risk default. But they are not the Crazies nor in charge of the Crazies. Cantor appears to be leading the Crazies, although I tend to believe he is not as crazy as the mob he's leading. Unlike Graham, they will want to "go there" - all the way to Crazytown. They're planning some kind of homecoming and rally with torches and banners and shit. Cantor will try to execute a flying dismount probably, right before the train smashes into Crazytown Junction and kills everyone aboard. He has the look of someone who thinks he can manage his own madness while egging on and profiting from the madness of others. But they always fuck up and lose control eventually.

11. Correct, and I wonder when the whackjob wing
will get a talk down from daddy. As is, the Speaker is no longer fulfilling that role. See Cantor already supplanted him.
