Eric Cantor bets against America.
Doesn't this piss off Republicans? This is the same guy that is walking all over John Boehner. But he is investing in stocks that will skyrocket in value if America defaults on its debt. Republicans really need to clean up this mess.

1. A question
What makes you think that the Republicans want to "clean up this mess"? Mitch no Chin said that his main interest is to make Obama a one term President, and that's the Tea Bagger agenda as well.

The American people mean little to the majority party in the House...being Republican these days means you hate the black guy, more then you love your country!

6. Yeah...
I was just trying to help the Democrats out a little with a talking point. But we don't know how many Democrats are invested in the same fund, do we?

2. I'm glad you brought that up.
We need to keep it out there. Betting against the USA is dirty, really lowdown dirty.

K&R

from the article:

<..> According to A Completely Unofficial Blog About Eric Cantor, the conflict is even more extreme than the Salon article made it appear. From his 2009 disclosure form, here are the investments Cantor selected for himself,

$1-15,000 ProShares Trust Ultrashort 20+ Year Treasury ETF (TBT)
$1-15,000 iShares Barclays TIPS Bond Fund (TIPS)
$1-15,000 WisdomTree International Basic Materials (DBN)
$1-15,000 SPDR SP Metals Mining (XME)

So yeah, that acronym TIPS ring a bell? It should if you read Paul Krugman..
TIPS, as I read it is basically the interest difference between nominal U.S. Bonds and Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities. Eric Cantor’s bet on the iShares Barclay’s TIPS Bond Fund is ANOTHER bet that U.S. Treasury Bonds will lose value (relative to inflation).

Cantor has a history of betting against America. The difference is that in 2011, he now has the power make sure that his bets pay off.

3. Cantor could conceivably succeed & the US government could default
but I believe those plutocrats who will suffer horrendous losses would see to it that Cantor didn't live to enjoy his ill-gotten gains.

4. Have Republicans ever cleaned up any mess?
I mean, EVER? Even one? Just wondering.

5. I despise the prick cantor, but in all honesty, 15K dollars of the ultra short is about 500 shares,
and is a drop in the bucket should the default occur

cantor wants boehner's job, and be the king of the tea baggers in congress

He would have to short a hell of a lot more if he was really wanting to make money

Incidently, they are going to raise the debt limit, at least that is their intent. They just want to cause as much pain and "fear" in the economy as they can, thinking it will cause defeat of Obama, and a total take over of Congress in 2012.

8. No need to speculate
You can look up any house member's holdings here:

He's pretty well diversified. No Walmart though...

9. If this post had been bashing President Obama it would be at the top of the list
instead it only shows horrible news about a Republican so it languishes at the bottom. Pretty said state of affairs
