6. when i think left-winger
I think a) ass-hat in the desert burning an american flag because "flags aren't in the constituion" and b) shooting a democratic congresswoman in the head.

It doesn't get more left-wing than that, folks.

...the Nazis were National Socialist.

Sounds like a real wierdo in the article, more like he is generally nuts than any particular party-color nuts.

30. And, of course, the dimwits don't know anything about fascism or socialism
and so don't realize that the two systems are diametrically opposed, and that the 'socialist' in the national socialist was only there to draw in disaffected people who also didn't know the difference because while socialists had been around for close to a hundred years, fascists were brand spanking new, created only in the 1920s.

But of course, you knew that already.

36. Well...
Fascism isn't exactly Nazism.

As for the vast difference between Nazism and the Socialist dictators active at the same era there isn't much. How much? That depends on where you draw the line, Social-Democrats and Socialists a'la the Soviets are two very different things.

And yet anyone who knows anything about football would say they are not...

Really, just because you call a party socialist, doesn't mean that that party is socialist...

It's a dumbass comparison, but there ya go.

Of course, we can make the comparison with Republicans and Stalin, who after all ruled the Union of Soviet Socialist REPUBLICS, but hey.

But we all know that the Nazis' were no where near socialist on the spectrum. It was just a word they threw in there to make them sound like they had peoples interest at heart.

At this point he neither fits into the "liberal" or "conservative" mold.

"At the time" Bush was president. If he hated Bush then his right-wing friends (which they say they are) would have considered him left-wing.

21. And the mainstream media will run with this....
If there are 200 signs pointing to him being a right wing loon, and one half of 1 sign pointing to him being a lefty then for purposes of media narrative, he will be a lefty.

I ultimately think he was just obviously insane overall and his ideology is an afterthought. But regardless of any truth, the media narrative will be that he was a liberal.

======

Oh, I love the spin. A left wing progressive shot a democrat that voted against his communist dream and the left tries to blame the right.

Some people were shot and all the left can do is run around and spin it to look like the right's fault. Looks like the progressives are the ones spreading hate.

===

Obama likes to incite others to "punish your enemies"... and if you disagree with his failed policies- you are labeled as ,"terrorists" and "hostage takers".... he has a radical way of bringing people together ,by pitting one group against another ,as he works his marxist agenda behind the scenes.

===

Can you believe the media making it out to be Sarah Palin? Sounds like the shooter was a communist/socialist leaning psychopath.

===

The guy was a leftist. Two of his favorite book were the The Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf.

I lurk at a forum that is now trying to claim it's somehow Pelosi's fault. I won't even try to explain their tortured logic behind that one because frankly I can't wrap my mind around it. And yeah, they're all true blue REAL American patriots of the Republican persuasion.

Communist Manifesto, Animal Farm, The Republic, Fahrenheit 451, Mein Kempf--I don't know to say about him, other than no, I don't think he was a leftwinger. He may have been a rightwinger, he may have just been a nut.
