Ex-Turkish Intel chief says Gulen movement (owner of largest charter-school chain in US) = CIA front
Edited on Sat Jan-08-11 02:36 AM by Hannah Bell
A memoir by a top former Turkish intelligence official claims that a worldwide moderate Islamic movement based in Pennsylvania has been providing cover for the CIA since the mid-1990s.

The memoir, roughly rendered in English as “Witness to Revolution and Near Anarchy,” by retired Turkish intelligence official Osman Nuri Gundes, says the religious-tolerance movement, led by an influential former Turkish imam by the name of Fethullah Gulen, has 600 schools and 4 million followers around the world.

In the 1990s, Gundes alleges, the movement "sheltered 130 CIA agents" at its schools in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan alone, according to a report on his memoir Wednesday by the Paris-based Intelligence Online newsletter.

The book has caused a sensation in Turkey since it was published last month.

Watch Kenneth Bedell, one of Duncan’s Senior Advisors, quoting Fethullah Gulen as he accepts Arne Duncan's award from the Rumi Forum on October 26, 2010. The Rumi Forum’s “Honorary President” is Fethullah Gulen “regarded as the founder and inspirer of the global social movement known as the Hizmet (Service) Movement, more popularly known as the Gulen Movement.”

When you visit the website, underneath Gulen’s photo in the right-hand bar are links to more promotional information on Fethullah Gulen, “The Gulen Movement” and “Gulen Inspired Schools.”

So a direct connection exists between the Gulen Movement and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, who also happens to be a strong advocate of charter school expansion. Very strange things are going on indeed.

And as the comment board entry so correctly stated, “…our schoolchildren should not be mixed up in geopolitical games.” This is all public information I've culled from easily accessible online sources. As far as I see it, my choices are to sit and say nothing, or to let you know.

1. Well, that would explain why there was so little outrage
over so many charter schools being owned by Turkish entities. I wondered why this wasn't getting more attention.

Otoh, it might not be true. So much politics involved.

4. Gulen Charter school
There is a lot of information out there on the Gulen Movement and the Gulen Charter Schools. They are also the biggest abusers of Hb-1 visa. They claim they cannot find qualified teachers here in America to work for them. Which is a huge lie. In many of these schools the teachers claim that administration is sexist and racist. They only have Turkish men and Turkish members on the board. Also they have only Turkish men from the Vice Principal all the to the superintendent. They use neighboring NGO and other non profit agencies to launder money.
Go to www.myvisajobs.com to see how many visas they apply for and the jobs they looking to have filled. Just put in the name of the school. You will be surprised at what you find. Some of the schools are also looking to bring in more Turkish LAwyers on an HB-1 Visa. Can anyone else tell me the name of an organization that uses it own lawyers and accountants? I think we called them mafia. Just google search GUlen Charter Schools. Foreigners fill ranks of charter schools. Tucson weekly hidden agenda. Salt lake tribune Gulen . PKK Bombs Gulen School.... For more information.

Also these Gulenists have have serious enemies. Niether one of them likes America. So it could be possible of a terror attack on these schools by either one of these entities.
