Bristol Palin Reveals True Feelings About the McCains, 'Dancing With the Stars,' Levi Johnston
Source: ABC

...snip...
In her memoir due out Friday, "Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far," the 20-year-old daughter of former Alaska governor/potential presidential candidate Sarah Palin reveals her true feelings about the father of her son, the daughter of her mother's 2008 running mate, and much more.

Palin writes that the first time she met the 26-year-old daughter of Sen. John McCain, she "ignored us during the entire visit." This was just before Senator McCain introduced Sarah Palin as his running mate. Palin adds that she "had a sneaking suspicion I might need to watch my back."

...snip...

Cindy McCain, the senator's wife, also rubbed the eldest Palin daughter the wrong way.

"I'd never seen people with so much Louis Vuitton luggage, so many cell phones, and so many constant helpers to do hair and makeup," Palin writes, adding that the would-be first lady looked "like a queen" and held "herself like royalty."

GOP spends $150,000 for Palin's wardrobe

WASHINGTON — When the Republican Party decided to coordinate expenses with John McCain's presidential campaign, who knew it would be color coordinated.

The Republican National Committee spent about $150,000 on clothing, hair styling, makeup and other "campaign accessories" in September for the McCain campaign after Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin joined the ticket as his running mate.

2. Seriously, who cares?
Her book will be a vacuum of knowledge. It will suck out the little brain that's left in her supporters.

5. 20 years old? Journey? Good gawd, she hasn't even had a step yet.
Sadly (and I really do mean it), I'm sure that we will be reading about her struggles with drugs/alcohol addiction as she moves in and out of various rehab and mental health facilities.

8. You just know that Cindy McCain couldn't stomach having to be around the Palin-Griswalds.
On another note, I see she hates everyone just like her mom.

13. Bristol carping that Cindy "held herself like royalty"
But it appears that her family is a quick study when it comes to the expectation of entitlement. While Cindy McCain has had years of being a Senator's wife, the Palins have taken to their nouveau riche status like dung beetles to fresh shit.

25. Cindy held herself like royalty because she IS royalty
Cindy McCain (formerly Hensley) is the beer queen of Arizona, seeing as how she owns the third-largest Budweiser distributorship in America.

That fact, incidentally, is what converted Quitterella from the corrupt governor of a three-vote state to the queen of the GOP: the religious fascists informed the good senator they would stay home, en masse, if John the Beer Peddler's Husband wasn't counterbalanced by putting Sarah Palin on the ticket.

resentment and bitterness. All at the tender age of twenty. I think her anger is misplaced.

26. Bill Maher already skewered her wine cooler story
I don't see anything particularly wrong with discussing a young woman who has thrust herself into the limelight, and not just because she's a Republican politician's kid: interviews and articles and TV appearances. Hell, at this point she's a published author. Since she and her family are so publically critical of everything I stand for or believe in, I don't see anything wrong with pointing out her many faults on an Internet message board. They're not going to go away, even if we ignore them. I vote for continuing to speak truth to power and not pretending like it'll all be okay or none of them matter.

The sad thing is that, even if this particular 20 year old DID have something to say about her life, we already know that most of what's in this book is bullshit.

From the stuff already leaked:
Didn't know wine coolers had alcohol, didn't mean to drink them, and didn't remember what happened -- the first time (and implying that your child's father is a date rapist because you're embarrassed to admit that you enjoy sex as much as everyone else does -- classy).

Claimed that Cindy McCain, a woman worth hundreds of millions of dollars, behaved exactly like a woman worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

As the OP pointed out, Bristol criticizes the McCain family for wearing expensive clothes and make-up, despite the well documented fact that her family did the exact same thing. There was even a minor scandle about it. Hell, Bristol's probably wearing expensive stuff right now.

She's oh-so-terribly offended when Meagan McCain -- a grown woman of manners, education, and accomplishment -- isn't paying enough attention to the pregnant teen bride who happens to be the child of one of her dad's work acquantances.

What is it with this family?

27. The Palins, classy as ever
They would be nowhere if not for McCain's decision to thrust this damn family into the spotlight. Of course, it also contributed to him losing the election.
