Party chiefs are asking Weiner to resign
The leaders of the Democratic Party abandoned scandal-plagued Rep. Anthony Weiner en masse Saturday after it was revealed that he had communicated online with a 17-year-old Delaware girl, throwing into serious doubt his vow to remain in office.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the party’s top campaign chiefs — Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) — all called on Weiner to resign in statements released within minutes of each other.

Weiner, a New York Democrat, admitted on Monday that he had sent sexually charged text messages and photographs to a series of six women over three years. On Friday, FOX News reported that Wilmington-area police had visited a Delaware teenager to discuss his back-and-forth with her.

I say they probably know more than us at this point and want him resign before more shit hits the fan.

2. I still say it's up to his constituents
Weiner doesn't work for pelosi or even the DNC. He works for the people in his district.

What do they say?

While I am certainly not against going after corruption, this just doesn't seem to rise to the level of resignation.

Censor him, fine him, let people laugh at him for a while. But being forced out of the job seems over kill.

13. The biggest thing he could do to help the other party is resign
And encourage the republican thugs to find more vulnerable Democrats to hunt down and destroy.

If you think these assholes are going to back off just because Weiner resigns I have a bridge to sell you.

The way to get this crap to stop is to stand up to them, something Pelosi and Wasserman Schultz or whatever her name is need to learn.

Otherwise the republicans and their allies and enablers in the liberal media will just chew them up and spit them out.

11. Actually it isn't
not if he wants to remain a Democrat anyway. If the leaders of the Democratic Party in Congress want him gone then he can resign or be ejected from the party. It's really that simple.

3. For being so stupid alone, both with the tweets and attempting
to lie while it was obvious it would all come out, he definitely should resign. This way the press will focus 100% on Gingrich instead of the two of them sharing the limelight.

5. I say they should mind their own districts and constituents. Unless he committed a crime, it is
not their business.

Pelosi, who obviously did not think going into war based on a lie was an impeachable offense should not be throwing stones

and I am not a fan of weiners at all, but recognize this is HIS district NOT theirs

10. I'm thinking your right about...
them probably knowing more than us and want him resign before more shit hits the fan! I wish he would have resigned without having to be investigated by cops, etc. I think it's too late now, we will have to live through the whole public telling. It's like a snowball rolling down hill in slow motion.
