Roger Ebert's Journal : Posting these images could get me arrested in Tennessee
The State of Tennessee has passed a law that makes it illegal to "transmit or display an image" online that is likely to "frighten, intimidate or cause emotional distress" to someone who sees it. If you violate this law, Tennessee could give you almost a year in jail or up to $2500 in fines.

2. Wonder how much they'll rake in in lobbyist support for exemptions to the law.
Maybe that's a part of these draconian laws-- make big bucks for exemption loopholes.

3. Bravo, Mr. Ebert
A hilarious collection that reveals the utter absurdity of the Tennessee law.

Frankly, I was always more of a Siskel fan, but has time has gone on, I have developed a huge respect and admiration for Roger Ebert, not only for his insightful movie criticism but also for his courage and political views.

6. I am frightened and distressed every time I see this law
mentioned somewhere. Tennessee lawmakers must be held accountable for causing me emotional dismay and go to jail!

BTW, our State Election Coordinator is a graduate of the Pat Robertson-founded Regents University Law School, and is a classmate of Monica Goodling. Their motto: "Gawd told us to steal y'all's elections to keep y'all safe from your-own-selves."

I shite you not.

another Battle of Athens, Tennessee.

I don't mind saying it because a) it is true and b) treason (which is what RICO-level election fraud in Tennessee is) is a capitol offense, as enumerated in our Constitution.

On that score, I am a strict Constitutionalist.

Besides, the TN Bureau of Investigation already knows where I live and at least two of their officers already agree with me COMPLETELY. I expect every other Tennessean, regardless of political persuasion, agrees with me also.

At least those who don't smell like flying monkeys.

That is assuming we have a Supreme Court that actually reads and follows the US constitution...
