Politicians lie - not sure why so many keep being shocked by that

When they lie the way we want to hear, we vote for them - hoping that some portion of the lies actually come true. When they lie about things that we don't want to hear - we yell, gnash teeth and go all sanctimonious.

Guys, especially ones in power, do really stupid things when they think with their little heads. Been that way since cavemen and Adam & Steve back in the garden, probably gonna be that way in 2,000 more years if we've not eliminated our species from the planet. Reason #2,354 we should probably sit back and let the women run things; we males have had ample opportunity to screw things up on so many levels and it doesn't appear that we've failed to take advantage of each and every one of them.

If there's any correlation to the phenomenon of the more rabidly anti gay a politician is to the likelihood that he's got a boy on the side then the wives of those who are calling out loudest for Wiener's resignation, public flogging, etc... should probably be interviewing attorneys and putting retainers down on private eyes. Just like after Clinton, those yelling the most have the most to hide and need the distraction.

At least now there's documented proof that one Democrat has a set of balls - still waiting on that photograph to turn up showing that rumored, but elusive spine.

The het community has held the coats for so many witch hunts of gay people that I find it ironic that when it is one of theirs they expect support from us. Tony can kiss my ass for being a bad advocate and for being a liar.
Not everybody is a liar nor an adulterous vow breaking hypocrite. Tell me, did Tony do the 'stand up in public and promise' trip just to get the gifts? Did her folks give them a house? concerning all the current over-hyped hoopla with this event, I'm not really sure how you got it as sexist, heterosexualist bladerdash. Never said I was defending his actions - only that they aren't shocking, either the lying part or the pictures/conversation part. There's no one in Congress that would surprise me if this happened to them, none.

As for pointing out that the men have been in charge for the most part and look where we are now - maybe it's time to give the women a chance to run things? You really take that as a sexist comment? Seriously? I think the first part is pretty factual, and the second was actually my belief that a bunch of women leaders would probably show more compassion to others, start a few less wars - and given the number of male vs female participants in all the DC sex scandals of the last decade - at least not be so overconfident that they get caught in their illicit trysts. Was never an indication that the women aren't participating in their own, simply that they seem to have better concepts of what to do/not do so that they don't become public scandals.

Tony was stupid, not 'guys are stupid'. I just do not cotton to being painted with that brush, as it does not apply. It also does not apply to many other men I have known, straight and gay and young and old. People are individuals. Women and men both make good and bad decisions around sex and around everything else. When they do so, they do so as individuals, not because 'guys are stupid' or 'they think with their dicks'. Because the individual made that choice, not the gender.
I also think that all people who live double lives or secret closeted sex lives do harm to those who live open and honest lives. I think 'straight couples' who wear the mask of tradition to hide more wild lives do harm to people who are not permitted the mask and the license to lie. They are closeted people.

The exact phrase that I used "Guys, especially ones in power, do really stupid things when they think with their little heads." did not, in any way, shape or form imply that you and every other guy on the planet only thinks with their dick.

It's a shame that DU doesn't have a Diagram This Sentence button, maybe DU4 can incorporate that. The other way to have written that sentence would have been "When guys (especially ones in power) think with the dicks, they do really stupid things"
