6. The Les Paul Museum...

The Les Paul Museum is in Discovery World, next to the Summerfest Lakefront Park in Milwaukee (makes sense, have it next to the "Big Gig" which includes 700 bands this year. See http://www.summerfest.com/flash2011/ for more on world's largest music festival.)


The museum is waaaay cool, and has some of Paul's very early guitars and stuff, including the very first electric guitar ever! "The Log" wasn't accepted by audiences because it didn't look like a guitar, so Paul cut an old acoustic guitar in half and glued the body onto "the log" to appease audiences.

Discovery World has lots of other stuff, mainly kids stuff that will interest adults, too.
