2. I still do.
Like the Miss Manners quote though: "polite society does not recognize such a thing as a chastity ring. It is so polite that it presumes that a lady is chaste unless publicly proven otherwise"

3. As our teenage daughter once asked in middle school...
"If I lose my virginity would that mean you'd take it back?"

Those things are disgusting and shameful.

6. As a male, if I were a teenager right now...
I would make and wear a chastity WWE-style wrestling championship belt.

8. I think we still make fun of them.
I hate this whole thing, but he gets no pass from me, for a few reasons.

First, he summoned the press to his office. Then he used them as an attempt to make fools of us. Every time he looked into the camera, he might as well have been looking each of us in the face personally. He continued to look into the camera for days afterwards, and in a smarmy manner, ridiculed those who asked questions about the situation. I think that goes far beyond an "embarrassed lie". Those things to me are the mark of a brazen pathological liar. In the end, he only fessed up because he was cornered. If his lies had worked, and this thing had gone away, he'd have surely continued this behavior. That quite possibly could have opened him up to blackmail. That's just one thing I find unacceptable in an elected official.

Second, at least one of those pictures (the shirtless one) was taken in his office, as evidenced by the pictures in the background. I sincerely hope that his wife is not further embarrassed by actually being in one of those pictures. I can't tell exactly who the people are, but I'm sure that when they saw the picture and recognized the photos, they were probably embarrassed for themselves, and furious at Wiener. I don't think "personal life" extends into his congressional office as that was bought and is paid for by taxpayers. That he would do such things while on my dime is something else I find unacceptable.

Third, he claimed to be a victim of a federal crime by saying his account was hacked. He even used the words, and I paraphrase, "I am the victim here". So far as I know, hacking into someone's online account is a federal crime. He then went on to imply that he knew who was complicit in this action, and without saying so much, pointed the finger at Breitbart, whom I loathe, but extend the same protection against false accusation I would any Democrat. This might be the most unacceptable fact for me.

He has shown such bad judgment in this whole mess from the very beginning that I think he's not suited for serving on a national scale. The Democratic Party, Obama Administration, and well being of the country are MUCH larger and more important than one Anthony Wiener. He's not a keeper, he's one you toss back into the pond.

10. It's not the purity, it's the honesty.
Like if it came out that he and his wife had an open relationship, that would be fine. But being a husband myself, I don't like it when people promise to be faithful to someone, expect someone else to be faithful to them, and then break that trust.

Not that that should affect his political career, necessarily. I don't know. Wouldn't be very pleased to find he used public funds for this.

18. They've gone on to other things...
such as Purity Balls, "What Would Jesus Do" and the "so insipid, anyone who sees it will never want to have sex again" sex scene in Atlas Shrugged, Part 1 and Final.
