Finally we know the truth, Politicians lie
He did something stupid and lied about it. It was dumb, but I don't know that I wouldn't have made the same mistake in his situation.

While I would like to think that our pol's are held to a higher standard, they are still human.

By the Gods, if he were a Repub they would give him a shake of the head in disapproval, but only because he was caught lying on camera.

If he were a Repub, then he would have to shoot someone in the face while wearing a diaper, getting serviced by a lobbyist and funneling tax payer money into a pyramid scheme before they might scold him for doing it, but only because he had done it on camera. They could all know about that behavior (the shooting, diaper, bj, pyramid stuff) and join him in doing it without batting an eye, but it's not bad unless it messes with their corporate overlords.

Personally, I think he did something refreshing, he admitted it. Even when a repub admits something and says they are sorry, you know they don't mean it, but they admit it. We should be glad that his failing is something so small (no pun intended) and let him get back to work. If you don't like him anymore, fine...go get someone better to run in the primary against him.

Those are my thoughts, not everyone will agree with them, but that is fine with me. I just had to say it.

1. Targeted justice, has nothing to do with his actions.

Nor the moment of weakness where he denied it instead of coming out firing with both barrels.

Assuming that was his speech, he should have came out firing on the topic.

But who knows, only saw the TV coverage of the issue.

2. I don't think any of these philanderers mean their apologies.
Why would they? They usually stay in office or continue their lives as is. They put up with some media scandal stuff, maybe they separate from the spouse they clearly don't want to be with anyway, and they still keep our money for their pensions.

Really now, why should they feel sorry? To them, its not as if they signed on for the priesthood. SO why should the wife, the kids or the voters expect anything more? Cheating among politicians is as common as flies on dung. How many of these things do we see every year? 5 or more at least. And those are among the ones who are stupid enough to do something like this guy did.
