Right Wing Talker Bill Cunningham Threatens 'Intifada' Against 'Kasich The First'
Right wing talk radio host, Bill Cunningham, is a well known name in Cincinnati and nationally. His show on 700 WLW is heard by an estimated 200,000 listeners daily. He also hosts a weekly, syndicated show, "Live on Sunday Night, it's Bill Cunningham", which is carried by 300 stations nationally and is a regular guest on Hannity.

Cunningham is having a serious case of Kasich buyers remorse and on his show Friday, he said he would lead a "peasant uprising" against the Governor if he doesn't start changing his politics.

...."He might become the Grand Potentate, he might become Kasich the First and he might go down in flames, but he's gonna take Ohio with him. And he's unimpeachable right, Ohio doesn't have an impeachment statute. He's non-recallable, we don't have a recall-ability thing

But this guy believes he is the Grand Potentate and we are the serfs. And I've said before Todd Portune, I will give him till Father's Day and if it doesn't happen by Father's Day, I will call for an intifada. A peasant uprising against the Governor."

Later in the show, Cunningham went on to apologize to his listeners for ever supporting John Kasich.

8. I think a lot has to do with SB5...
eliminating collective bargaining for public employee unions. The majority of Ohioans support the school teachers. He also cut the education budget by 25% (including K-12 schools, state colleges and universities). His approval rating is only 33%. It has fallen like a rock since he was sworn in as Governor in January 2011. I am betting that his approval rating will head further south. He will be down there with former Governor Taft shortly! When Taft left office in '07 his rating was in the low teens.

7. I live in SW Ohio...
and can't stand WLW. The WLW tower is only about 1 mile from my house.

On Cunningham, he is about as right wing as they come and there are a lot of right wingers in Ohio who listen to him, especially in SW Ohio. There is some talk about a petition drive to get an initiative (constitutional change) on the ballot here in Ohio to be able to recall elected officials. Currently there is no recall in Ohio for elected officials. I don't think that this will be on the November ballot since a petition has not been submitted to the Secretary of State in Ohio. The big thing going on now is to get an initiative on the November ballot for SB5 which was passed recently. This bill eliminates collective bargaining rights for public employee unions along with some other draconian measures. It looks like the anti-SB5 measure will be on the November ballot.

Personally I can't stand Cunningham's politics but years ago I called into his show and had a spirited debate with him. I was totally against what he was saying (abortion or something along those lines) and he did not cut me off. He gets some credit from me on that one!
