What if Weiner's new wife took the photo? They might have been joking around and she took his phone and took the pic. It was private behavior between two newlyweds in the very passionate part of their marriage (remember how that was?). That someone would be so horrible to try to smear him and his new wife for simply loving each other is beyond disgusting.

If I were him in this circumstance, I would protect her in any way possible.

if it is his picture or not. I think the media have latched on to this to fill up airtime. This is what they consider news. I usually do not watch CNN, but I did this morning and wanted to scream at them. They will keep it alive. They had on two "attorneys" to give their assessment. I would never hire either of them.

But it's the worst kind of smear, IMO. My guess is that this photo or something similar was stolen from Weiner and peddled to the RWinger who offered the most money, then hatched a plot to make it seem that Weiner was a perv going after young women following his Tweeter account.

Now he's forced into the uncomfortable position of not being able to really defend himself...because he has nothing that needs defending...

7. Well, remember it wasn't just the picture per se. It was the surrounding narrative:

that he was using the picture to send to a young college student, possible sexual harassment. sure, I guess she could come forward and say "I took it" but it really isn't anybody's business and she has an important, internationally sensitive job as Hillary Clinton's Chief of Staff.

I am really sad about this. I'd like to find Breitbart and beat him with my fists...and I am a lady of a "certain age"...
