4. On GMA this morning Bachmann told Stephanopolous that she didn't know if she

were going to run and then two minutes later said she would be making an announcement in Waterloo, IA (which, sez she, is "conveniently her birthplace") in a couple of weeks. To which Steph immediately got a Duh! expression on his face and pointed out to her that means she's running and she immediately went into deer in the headlight stare with a stupid grin on her face. Imagine this woman keeping national security secrets.

The Republican party USED to have some smart capable women in it. I almost always disagreed with them but you could actually work with those women. That party has disintegrated so much that even amongst Republican women I actually know, they are all bobbleheads. There's not a single truly conservative woman with even average sense I can think of that would dare align herself with the Republican party. They are all "independents" now.
