What we have here is...

1. A Polish self-propelled gun, supporting NATO in Afghanistan.

2. The self-propelled gun is a Czech-built 152-mm "Dana." It's built on the chassis of a humongous Tatra 8-wheeled truck. The Czechs designed and built the Dana to avoid over-reliance on Russian weapons. I like the looks of it - like something H.G. Wells might have designed after a night in an English opium den.

3. The weapon is named for a rather Famous American. LOL!

The Poles have another of these monsters in Afghanistan, named "Fiona." For the 80's pop artist? Fiona Apple? Some Polish soldier's Irish girlfriend? I dunno, I just liked the picture.
